Elaine Conger: "Singing Hymns with a Celtic Spirit" (Friday, Session 1, Mountain Dulcimer, Intermediate Advanced)
Many of us use the dulcimer (standard, baritone & bass) as a vehicle to play and sing our favorite hymns, yet we also love folk tunes from around the world, especially those melancholy and ethereal tunes from Scotland. This workshop will present tunes like, �The Skye Boat Song� but sung with the lyric, �Joy and Great Comfort.� Participants will learn picking patterns to accompany themselves while singing.
