Dusty Thorburn: "Carolans Concerto: a unique and attainable challenge" (Friday, Session 8, Mountain Dulcimer, Intermediate Advanced)

$11.50

Most dulcimer players are familiar with the compositions of the blind Irish harper Turlough OCarolan (1670-1738). This workshop teaches an arrangement of one of his more challenging pieces known as Mrs. Powers or, more frequently Carolans Concerto. The tune tests us with much longer phrasing than most OCarolan tunes, but we will not be deterred and will break the composition into manageable chunks before putting it all together. (Dad tuning)
