Grant Olson: "Greek Modes on the Appalachian Dulcimer" (Friday, Session 3, Mountain Dulcimer, Advanced Beginner and Up)

In this workshop, we will explore different tunings (including the capo) in the dulcimer's history, and how they fit into the traditional Greek modes of music theory. We will also learn how the circle of fifths can help us understand our playing. While a more theoretical class, we will practice a few basic songs in different tunings at the end.
