Carol Walker’s formal training includes a degree in Music Education, with majors in piano, harp, and voice. For 32 years she was a high school choral teacher; in 2003 she received the NJ Governor’s Teacher of the Year Award. After retiring in 2008 she branched out from her formal classical training and began a new dulcimer career. She has been a popular workshop leader and featured performer at both live and virtual festivals. Carol has published seven books of dulcimer arrangements, two CDs, and a DVD produced by Homespun, with two additional books slated for release in 2021.
